Day 1: Arriving in Charleston

So after a long day spent in the car, we arrived in Charleston around 6 pm.   I drove most of the way until we got to SC when April took over and drove the rest of the way.  After a little debate we decided on a restaurant within walking distance to the hotel, called California Dreaming.  I had barbecue chicken which was really good.  Our waiter probably thought we were crazy since we were pretty goofy.  It was good to just be able to relax and not think about work or things at home and just have a good time.  We all decided since we were full to get desert to go.  Of course Lis and April got chocolate cake and I got key lime pie, which was really good not too sweet like you can get sometimes.  Since then we have been watching Pirates of the Caribbean movies and figuring out our plans for tomorrow.  So far it looks like we will be going to a plantation in the morning and Fort Sumter in the afternoon.
